| The Canadian Association for United Sri Lanka (CAUS) is a non-profit organization incorporated in May 2000 under the Societies act of British Columbia . CAUS membership comprises of Sri Lankan Canadians and expatriates with Links to Sri Lanka . It's membership is also open to anyone with an interest in the betterment of Sri Lanka . |

| CAUS has raised and mobilized funds towards humanitarian projects in Sri Lanka for the past 5 years. Some of the notable projects include |
- Building of a Community Health Office (A Dispensary) in association with SUCCESS, a local NGO, in rural Eastern Sri Lanka in July 2002.

- Provision of emergency relief material to victims of flash floods in Southern and Western Sri Lanka in May 2003 in association with Sri Lanka Red Cross

- Sponsoring of Artificial limbs for War amputees in Sri Lanka on an ongoing basis such that they could integrate with the society and continue their vocations

CAUS raises funds via community events and member and public contributions. CAUS has a policy of maintaining zero overheads and does not maintain offices or other assets. The objective is to utilize 100% of the funds raised for projects. CAUS has a voluntary Board of Directors who are appointed annually. |
